How Do CEREC Work?

CEREC technology combines computer-aided design and manufacturing to streamline the process of getting a crown. Here’s what to expect during your appointment:

Digital Impressions: Using an intraoral scanner, we capture a 3D image of your tooth, eliminating the need for traditional messy molds.
Crown Design: With the images sent to the computer, our dentist uses CAD software to design a custom crown that fits your unique dental structure.
Milling the Crown: The design is sent to an in-office milling machine, which shapes the crown from a block of high-quality ceramic.
Placement and Bonding: Once complete, your dentist will check the fit and bond the crown securely to your tooth for a flawless finish.

Good oral hygiene includes brushing your teeth at least twice a day, flossing regularly, and rinsing between meals. It’s also best to schedule a dental check-up and cleaning every six months, or twice a year.
