Why Choose Garden Oaks Family & Cosmetic Dentistry for Sedation Dentistry?

  • Multiple Forms of Dental Sedation Available
  • Treatment Rooms with Heated Massage Chairs
  • Non-Threatening, Cozy, Home-like Atmosphere

Relaxing, Home-Like Atmosphere

We’ve put quite a lot of planning and effort into making our office as relaxing as possible; we know that dental care can be intimidating, but when you’re here, you’ll feel right at home. Feel free to come right in and relax in our living room, have a seat by the fireplace, find a quiet corner to read, or work a Mosaic jigsaw puzzle. And when treatment is needed, you’ll find yourself in large open rooms with big windows, lots of natural light and heated massage chairs in our state-of-the-art operatories. No tight, cramped, claustrophobic rooms here.

Nitrous Oxide Relaxation

If mild dental anxiety is keeping you from scheduling an appointment with our office, allow us to reduce your concerns with nitrous oxide relaxation. Safe to use and easy to administer, the gas is inhaled with a mixture of oxygen and nitrous oxide and creates fast-acting effects that allow you to quickly become relaxed in the treatment chair. Our team will closely monitor your levels throughout treatment to ensure your safety and comfort. Nitrous oxide produces no lasting side effects, which means that after 10 minutes breathing oxygen and you can return to work or school after your appointment and fully resume your day!

Oral Conscious Sedation

If you experience moderate dental anxiety or are preparing to receive multiple treatments in a single appointment, we can provide oral conscious sedation. Delivered as a prescribed pill, the medication produces a calming effect that allows you to remain comfortable throughout your appointment. Not only will you feel no anxiety or fear during your treatment, but your senses will also be dulled, preventing you from feeling any pain. Its effects do take time to wear off, so you will need someone to drive you to and from your appointment.
